Chocolate Superfood Fudge cake is lower-carb than most sweetened cakes. You could even make it very low-carb by taking out the regular flour and substituting 100% coconut flour And you can make it gluten-free, like I did, if you use gluten-free flour in place of regular flour.
Is no-sugar added chocolate Superfood fudge cake as sweet as regular cake?
No, it isn’t as overpoweringly sweet. It’s lighter and more subtle. That’s why I added fruit which makes it even more sweet. And when you combine the cake with the fruit, you get a totally healthy, fulfilling burst of sweetness. One that leaves you feeling good about yourself.
If you want it more sweet, you can drizzle some maple syrup on top. But I suggest you try it au-natural. first. Because you really might not need any added sugar, it’s so naturally sweet.
