Many things that happen to our bodies are nothing to worry about. But if there is a change, you need to take note. Common symptoms can be a sign of something more serious. And ignoring these symptoms can have serious consequences.

Chest Pain
You may dismiss chest pain as heartburn or exercise strain. However, some chest pain needs urgent medical attention. Take note f your chest pain is coupled with breathlessness or feels like there’s a heavy weight on your chest. This could be symptoms of a heart attack.
Most heart attacks don’t look like they do in the movies, especially for women. Woman’s symptoms may be much more subtle. Heart attacks often exhibit as fatigue, burning pain, and abdominal pain for women.
Unexplained Weight Loss
You may think of weight loss as a good thing. But If you’ve had noticeable weight loss without changing your eating or exercising habits, it’s important to take note.
Unexplained weight loss needs to be investigated. Losing over 5% of your body weight over a 6 month period can indicate many different illnesses and conditions. If you’re worried about unexplained weight loss, consult your doctor.
Unusual Bleeding
Blood in your stools, vaginal bleeding after menopause or in between periods, and blood in vomit or phlegm can be indicators of serious issues. Make an appointment as soon as possible to investigate unusual bleeding. You need to rule out anything serious so as to resolve problems quickly.
Shortness of Breath
Shortness of breath and becoming easily out of breath doing non-exhaustive activities such as climbing stairs could indicate certain conditions. This might be COPD ( Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) or conditions such as asthma or heart issues.
In some cases, people who smoke heavily or are overweight can become breathless due to these reasons alone. While that isn’t a cause for immediate concern, it can help be impetus to quit.
Hearing Loss
Have you noticed you’re frequently asking people to repeat themselves? Maybe you’re turning the TV up louder to hear what is being said. You may be experiencing some form of hearing loss.
Talk to a trained audiologist. They can help you to assess the cause of any hearing loss. You don’t want to spend your life missing out on what others are saying.
