And I felt so uncomfortable in my body!
It took a while, but all this comfort food eventually led to some extra pounds. To top it off, I was completely awkward with anything athletic. You remember that kid that everyone tried to avoid when picking sports teams. Yup, you guessed it. That was me.
I felt like a total failure despite my many other achievements. And this led my to some not-so-healthy diet options. I tried starvation, points based diets, low-carb, low-fat, diet shakes, diet bars, eating nothing but cereal (hey, it had whole grains), laxatives and anything else that sounded potentially slimming.
My turning point into a diet coach
I saw my mother live an unhealthy lifestyle for years. But then she got sick. Seeing her sick was horrible and I wanted to do whatever I could to help her live a healthier lifestyle. And I started looking for answers to help her.
And this was my own wake-up call that it was time to make my own health a priority. So I embarked on a Master’s degree in holistic nutrition. And I started a meditation practice to deal with all the emotional crap around my relationship with food. And this is when things massively transformed.

1) You’ll get to the bottom of your cravings so they stop getting in your way. Cravings are both emotional and physical. To heal them, you must heal them from both angles. How does this work? It varies by the person. But cravings aren’t all in your head. There are real physical reasons why you’re craving. We’ll get to the bottom of your cravings so they stop getting in your way.
2) You’ll understand your unique weight loss formula. There isn’t one weight loss formula that will work for everyone. We gain weight for different reasons and it isn’t all about calories. This is why it is so valuable to work with a good coach. A coach can help you identify what you need to feel great in your body!
3) You’ll find a diet that you enjoy. The only diet that you will stick to long term is one that they like. The key to successful weight loss is discovering the ways in which you enjoy healthy foods. The concept of long-term deprivation is, excuse my language, bullshit. You can’t deprive yourself forever! It won’t work. Trust me, I’ve tried! I help you find ways to eat that will also make your brain happy.
4) You’ll learn how to get real with yourself. Here’s the reality. If you’ve been eating out of control, you’ve probably become skillful at making excuses for yourself.
