You worry about weight loss. But what about the rest of you? I’m talking about those aches, pains and strains you’ve been ignoring. Today we’re gonna talk about a way to treat your whole body with love and care.
A healthy lifestyle goes deeper than eating lots of fruits and vegetables and going easy on the alcohol. It means safe-guarding your health from your eyes, to your teeth to your mental health. You want to feel good from head to toe.
Here are the 7 most commonly overlooked ways to create good health. Incorporate these into your life and you’ll live better than you ever imagined!
Excellent Eyes
It’s easy to take your eyes for granted by not getting them regularly examined. Eye exams aren’t just for people who can’t see. They’re for everyone who cares about the future of their eyes.
Your sight can change quite often. So get your eyes check at least every two years. And don’t be afraid to get glasses or contacts if you need them. Hey, glasses can be sexy! You can even shop for glasses online and find the perfect pair that reflects your individual fashion and style.
Tests will also be able to detect any unnatural occurrences behind the eye. You want to diagnose clots and tumors as early as possible. So this is even more of a reason to get checked out regularly.
Mind Matters
It’s so easy to overlook that how you feel mentally is a health issue. You realize when you have a headache and you notice when you pull a muscle. But do you pay attention to your mental health?
Are you experiencing waves of sadness or moments of depression? Do you feel lonely or isolated? Everybody has their down days. But is this a regular incident?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are many qualified mental health professionals. And maybe build a meditation practice into your day. Your mental health deserves time and energy so you feel good.
Easy Ears
Your hearing can start to dwindle. This happens to everyone eventually. But you want to postpone this as long as possible. Because hearing problems can start as early as age forty!
A natural method to keep your ears clean and free of build-up is to drop a tiny amount of warm olive oil into your ear at night. This will soften any wax and draw it out naturally, without any invasive prodding or poking.
Another holistic method to keep your pipes clean is Hopi ear candles. It’s a really relaxing way of getting your air waves flowing smoothly. This is a handy way to relieve pressure after travelling on an airplane or to remove nasty build-up after an illness.
Terrific Teeth
Seriously, nobody enjoys going to the dentist. Why is the dentist painted out to be such a scary place? I imagine it has something to do with a fear of drilling.
But let’s get real for a moment. You can’t ignore your teeth. Deep inside you know that you’ll have many more problems if you skip these appointments. Because once a tooth becomes severely damaged, it can be expensive and painful to repair.
So let’s talk about day-to-day prevention. You should be using a good brand of toothpaste at least twice a day. And don’t forget to floss! This takes just a few minutes. But your reward will be sparkling white clean teeth and a reduced chance of gum disease.
Happy Heart
You don’t want to wait until you’re over 50 to start thinking about your heart. Prevention is much easier than fixing your arteries once they become clogged. That’s why you need a long-term approach.
Opt for an 80/20 approach to eating. This means you eat healthily 80% of the time. And save the remaining 20% for fun! Your diet should be colorful, including vegetables, whole grains and fiber. And don’t go overboard with sugar or alcohol.
Let’s not forget exercise. Around 15-20 minutes a day is a good place to start. Take a long walk during your lunch break or get off a stop earlier on your way to work. Little things like this contribute positively to your overall heart health.
Gorgeous Gut
Gut health isn’t frequently talked about. But it’s so important. Your gut is responsible for processing and breaking down what you eat. It even plays a big part of your immunity. So it needs to be looked after.
Eating fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut kefir and yogurt will contribute to the health of your gut. You may want to also consider taking a probiotic supplement. That way you keep a balanced amount of good bacteria at all times. Your gut health will go a long way in keeping your whole body healthy.
Joyful Joints
Don’t forget to look after your joints. Regular mobility exercises such as hip flexors and squats will keep your joints supple. You don’t want to feel stiff, achy and clicky when you move. Your joint health is integral to feeling good in your body.
Consider supplements like glucosamine or omega-3 fatty acids which helps ease your aches and stop uncomfortable inflammation. Foods such as oily fish, garlic, broccoli, turmeric, brussel sprouts, tart cherries and cabbage are all excellent for your joints. And they’ll significantly reduce any pain.
You deserve to live a happy, painless and healthy life for many years to come. The only person who is responsible for making this happen is you. You can help create your own health.
So make sure to do everything to keep your eyes, ears, heart, mind and muscles strong at all times. You might have overlooked some of these before. But you can start paying attention right now!

Regarding ear health, one thing you don’t want to do is to dig around in your ears with Q-Tips as this will push wax further into your ears more often than not.
