As you might have guessed, I’m not into toxic beauty products. I mean, there was a time when I couldn’t have cared less about clean ingredients. But that time period was in a different life. And my days of buying things simply based on appealing advertising are over.
Your skin literally drinks in whatever you put on it. And the last things you want is to lather on toxins. Especially when you’re trying to take off the dirt of the day.
However,I thought non-toxic cleansers would be so expensive. I get that you have to pay for quality. But I’m on a budget here.
The reality is that clean cleansers don’t have to be that much more expensive. And because they’re made of quality ingredients, a little usually goes a long way. These products can be powerful.
So these clean ingredients cleansers might not be that more expensive at all. Which is good news. Because cleaner is definitely better. And here are 3 cleansers that are strong yet beautifully pure.
Dr Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk
I love that this is called cleansing milk. Because it feels way softer and more luxurious than any cleanser I’ve ever tried. Most cleansers feel like they strip away. But this Soothing Cleansing Milk feels nourishing.
The product doesn’t lather which can be confusing. You might be tempted to use a lot to cover all your skin. The secret is that it’s soft and easily spreadable. Meaning a little can go a long way.
However, this cleanser does a lousy job at removing makeup. So if you choose this one, you have to remove your makeup first. But your skin really feels so soft when you’re done. It’s worth an extra step.
And it doesn’t cause breakouts at all. My skin is sensitive, and usually products that are moisturizing cause irritation – but not this one. Which is a big plus in my book.

Beautycounter Nourishing Cream Cleanser
Beautycounter is a makeup line that’s EWG verified. Meaning it’s rigorously examined for the purity of its ingredients. So you can be assured that you’re getting clean ingredients.
This product is better at removing makeup. You probably still want to use a separate makeup remover to take off the tough stuff like mascara. But overall, it does a pretty good job with removing blush, foundation, lipstick and the like.
And while it’s not as silky gentle as the cleansing milk, it still left my skin feeling pretty smooth. Natural ingredients in general feel more nourishing and gentle. That’s another bonus of going clean.

MyChelle Refining Sugar Cleanser
If you want a natural cleanser that does a bang-up job of removing makeup, this is totally your cleanser. Not only does it take off all types of difficult makeup. It does so while being gentle to your skin.
Of the natural ingredients cleansers I’ve tried, this one does the best at lathering. It isn’t a conventional lather like the chemical induced ones. But you do get small, fluffy bubbles once you rub a drop in your hands.
The fun part is that you can actually feel the sugar grains in the cleanser. And these give a gentle skin exfoliation as it cleanses. My only complaint is that the sugar grains easily got in my eyes which was mildly uncomfortable.
The refining sugar scrub is another one that is EWG verified. So you can feel truly assured that you’re getting clean ingredients. And it smells really nice too. Just another clean ingredients product you can feel really good about using.
So there are no excuses to slather chemicals all over your face. Cleansing can be natural and at a fair price. My skin feels so much better after switching to clean face products. If you’re looking for a way to clean up your beauty regimen, these clean cleansers are a great place to start.

You should check out Nyakio beauty sold at Ulta. Affordable and naturally derived products. I use her oil balm before a gel cleanser to get all my makeup off. I really like her daily moisturizer as well. Neutrogena naturals has a good smelling cleanser as well.

But those have chemical preservatives and other things in them just like anything else on the shelf. Just because they say ” natural” doesn’t mean they actually are.
